Full Stack Developer

Role Overview

Avant Tech Nigeria is looking for a result-oriented Mid-Level Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. You will be a core manager of the Avant One backend ecosystem and other systems, building and maintaining the high-performance systems that power our Identity and Address Verification services.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between our sophisticated backend engines and our user-facing client portals. You will work extensively with Node.js and React to build "offline-first" applications and API-centric architectures that serve Nigeria’s top financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: Build and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN/PERN stack (PostgreSQL/Node.js/React).
• API Integration: Develop and optimize RESTful APIs that connect Avant One to national identity databases and bank core systems.
• Database Management: Write complex, optimized SQL queries to handle large datasets and generate real-time risk intelligence reports.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage application environments on AWS, ensuring high availability and 99.9% uptime.
• Front-End Excellence: Develop responsive, performant, and intuitive user interfaces in React that work seamlessly across desktop and mobile devices.
• Security & Compliance: Implement data encryption and secure coding practices aligned with NDPR (Nigeria Data Protection Regulation).

Requirements

• Backend: 3+ years of professional experience with Node.js and Express.
• Frontend: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and React (including Hooks, Context API, and State Management).
• Database: Expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL or MySQL). You must be comfortable writing complex joins and optimizing queries for performance.
• Cloud Services: Practical experience with AWS (specifically EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda).
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git (GitHub/GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Added Advantage: Experience with PWA (Progressive Web Apps) development for offline-first field agent tools.
