Investing in AI and Local Industry

The AU emphasized that African nations must invest heavily in artificial intelligence, agriculture, and digital innovation to create jobs. Youssouf noted that Africa has lagged in AI funding and needs to scale up fast.

He pointed to large-scale projects like the Dangote Group as strong examples of local industrial investment driving economic independence and job growth.
