Student unions in Nigeria are asking the government to expand the Electronic Education Initiative. During a visit to Minister Alausa tertiary education digital upgrade advocate Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, student leaders urged that the program be brought to all universities and polytechnics, not just colleges.
Modernizing Classrooms
The E-DON project replaces traditional chalkboards with interactive digital boards. Students can scan QR codes during lectures to download learning materials straight to their devices, cutting down paper use and modernizing everyday studies.
Student leaders noted that expanding this tech to all higher education is vital for global standards and modern tech jobs, catching the attention of leading companies. Such educational upgrades are frequently discussed at industry events and local coworking spaces alike.
