Sales Associate

Job Summary

• The successful retail sales associates will guide customers through the shopping process, from initial greeting to final purchase, and provide a winning after-sales follow-up and support.
• In addition to providing insights and support, the retail sales associates will help strengthen our customer relationships and convert shoppers into customers.
• The ideal candidates for these roles will possess a natural ability to engage with customers and effectively resolve their concerns.
• The successful retail sales associates should be passionate about people and eager to develop new skills in customer sales and service.

• Collaborate with coworkers to achieve store sales goals through suggestive-selling, up-selling, and cross-selling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store.
• Answer customer questions about specific products/services and assist with requests.
• Provide accurate information (e.g., product features, pricing, and after-sales services).
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Inform customers about new arrivals and special offers.
• Stay up to date with new products/services.
• Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep the products and the shopping environment tidy, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Render periodic reports – daily, weekly, monthly, half-yearly, yearly, and as may be needed from time to time.
• Provide customer feedback and environmental scanning reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have or be:

• HND or B.Sc. in Social Sciences or related fields is a plus.
• 2 years or more experience in retail sales and customer service, or a similar role.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and friendly.
• Competent simple math skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced with working in a team-oriented environment.
• Have a good understanding of the retail sales process.
• Live in very close proximity to the job locations (Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Central Lagos).
